Easter Egg Hunt

Sunday, April 5th

Children of all ages are invited to join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday morning, April 5th, immediately following the 10 am service.  Weather permitting, we will hold the hunt outside.

Town Hall Meeting

Sunday, April 12th at 11:15 am 

The Wardens and Vestry invite members of the community to gather after the 10:00 worship service on Sunday, April 12th for a Town Hall Meeting.  We will happily answer any questions, and look forward to updating our members on our budget and future fundraising plans.  If you would like to submit a question in advance, please email Bob Courtemanche or Heather Leef.

Coins for Heifer

Sunday School children are collecting coins in their "arks" during Lent. The proceeds will benefit Heifer International.  We are raising funds to support lasting solutions to help hungry people. The arks should be returned anytime between Easter Sunday and April 12th. 

Women's Bible Study

Fridays at 9:15 am

The Women's Bible Study group will resume on Friday, April 10th and once again begin meeting every Friday in the Parish House Meeting Room at 9:15 am.

Food Bank Staffing 

Saturdays in April

Volunteers are needed to staff the Food Bank Pantry Saturdays in April from 9:30 am to noon (April 4, 11, 18, 25).  Tasks include interviewing clients, and bagging and distributing food.  The pantry is located at the rear of the United Reformed Church, 100 West Main Street in Somerville.  This is a great opportunity for older children, and community service hours will be given.  The sign-up sheet is located on the bulletin board near Parish Hall or contact Sally Hespe.

Second Annual St. John NS & SJOTM Fundraiser

Saturday, April 18th

Join us on Saturday, April 18th at 6:30 pm for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, music, and a silent auction.  View invitation.

Support Needed for the St. John NS & SJOTM Fundraiser

The committee for the 2nd annual St. John's Spring Fundraiser on Saturday, April 18th is planning a wonderful event that will include delicious food, wine, music, silent auction, and raffle items. Please help support this event by attending and contributing silent auction and raffle items.  Items can be dropped off in the Parish office.  Please include your name, the item's value and any other information you would like to add.  Additionally, the committee will gratefully accept monetary donations to underwrite general expenses for the event such as food and beverages. If you would like to make a contribution or have any questions, please email Shellie Iossa or call 908-752-2497.  The proceeds from this event will be designated equally to three important causes: the ministry of the parish, the work of the school, and the funding of the Nursery School Scholarship program.

VBS Summer Camp at SJOTM

June 22-26
Children ages 3 through rising 4th graders are invited to join us June 22-26 for summer camp.  Kids will learn, create, and have fun!  Join us for sports, games, music, snacks, Bible stories, and cool crafts.  The cost is $60 per child (with a $150 cap per family).  More information and registration.

Youth Mission Trip to a Heifer Farm

July 19-21

Sixteen SJOTM youths and chaperones will be traveling to Heifer Farm in Rutland, MA Sunday, July 19 - Tuesday, July 21.  Participants will work on the farm and stay in a global village, where they will assume the role of an impoverished family.  There will be an informational meeting for interested youth and registered participants on Sunday, April 19, immediately following the 10 am service in the Meeting Room.  Grades 6 and up are eligible to attend.  Approximate cost will be $100 per person.   Additional program information can be found at Heifer.orgPlease email Sally Hespe or call (908) 875-1518 for more information and registration materials.
