As of Wednesday, November 13th, we have 53 pledges for $187,010. Our goal is to increase participation from last year's 113 pledges and reach a total of $362,000 for 2014. If you have any questions about Stewardship, please contact Chip Baird or Bob Courtemanche.
If you haven't already done so, please return your 2014 Pledge Card, as the Vestry needs them to make their budget decisions for the upcoming year. Click here to read the 2014 Stewardship Letter. Extra pledge cards can be found in the narthex or click here to download or email the office to have one sent to you.
You can also donate Stocks to SJOTM. The tax advantages of giving stock, instead of cash, to church can make doing so very worthwhile. To learn more, please contact Lisa Keenan in the office at 908-766-2282 ext 13 or by email at L.Keenan@SJOTM.org. We would be happy to accept stock donations for 2013 as form of pledge payment.

Adult Education this Sunday, Nov 17th
For Episcopalians, the Book of Common Prayer establishes our standard of belief and practice. It is the most distinctive thing about us. It is, moreover, without dispute, a singularly important piece of English literature. Every edition has both shaped and been shaped by the best of English poetry and prose. Ask Roman Catholic's what it is to be a member of that Church, and they may well send you to the writings of the Popes and councils, and the thoughts of key theologians like Thomas Aquinas. Ask a Lutheran what it is to be a member of that Church, and they may well send you to read one of Luther's catechisms or the Augsburg Confession. Ask an Anglican, though, what it is to be a member of our Communion and we are likely to say: Come to Church with me on Sunday and see us enact the liturgy according the script in the Book of Common Prayer. As it is said, we are what we eat. Episcopalians can say: We are what we pray.

Plaid House Stocking Stuffers Donations Needed
The knitters will be having their annual Plaid House girls' gift packaging party on Thursday, December 5, at 10:30 in the meeting room. They need donations of stocking stuffer type gifts (ages 14 through 18) to add to the packages.
