The Second Sunday of Easter

Food Bank Staffing  - Saturdays in April

SJOTM parishioners are scheduled to staff the Food Bank pantry each Saturday in April from 9:45 to noon.  All are invited, including older children.  The pantry is located  at the United Reformed Church at 100 West Main Street in Somerville.  Dates are April 6, April 13, April 20, and April 27th.   Work entails interviewing clients, and bagging and distributing groceries.  A sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board near the Parish Hall kitchen.  For more information, please contact Sally Hespe (908) 875-1518 or email

Summer Camp at SJOTM July 15 - 19

Children ages 3 - rising third graders are invited to join us at the Everywhere Fun Fair:  Where God's World Comes Together this summer from 9:30am-12pm on July 15-19th.  We will be learning, creating, and having fun! Volunteers are also needed to make this program a success. Click here for a registration form.  Email for more information.

Ladies' Luncheon on Thursday, April 19th

Please join us on Thursday, April 19th at noon for the Ladies' Luncheon at the home of Mary Courtemanche, 6 Deer Ridge Drive, Morristown.  Please bring a sandwich; beverages and dessert will be provided.  Please RSVP to Mary at 973-267-0166. We hope to see you there.

Handbell Choir - Ringers Needed

Do you love music but consider yourself more of an instrumentalist than a singer?  The Hand Bell Choir of St. John on the Mountain has several openings for ringers.  No prior experience with hand bells is required but reading music is necessary, especially being able to count those naughty half notes, quarter notes and eighth notes!  If you are interested in trying it, please contact  Rick Morgan, Director of Music for more information.

The Chorus of Communities - Annual Spring Concert

Annual Spring Concert on Sunday, April 21st, 2013 at 4 pm at Grace Church, Nutley, NJ.  With Richard Morgan, Director and Dr. Brian Harlow, Organist.  Featuring the music of Franz Peter Schubert:

Mass in G (D. 167)

Ave Maria (Opus 52, No. 6)

An die Sonne (D. 439)

And other Viennese Treasures!

Volunteer to be an Usher

Please consider joining this important ministry.  Greeting people, distributing bulletins, conveying the sacred elements to the altar, and inviting parishioners to partake of Communion are central to our worship services.  No experience needed.  To sign-up or for more information contact Fenn Putman 973-543-7017 or email
