 What a joy it is to finally welcome spring! Brilliant yellow forsythias and new plantings are a sight to lift our hearts after the cold bleakness of winter. Redbud and dogwood blooms color the soft blue sky and daffodils, crocuses (and even dandelions!) have nudged their way through the warming earth. Enjoy more spring photos here.

When students, faculty and staff return next Monday, it will be just a few short weeks until commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 10, when we will be privileged to welcome distinguished Ferrum alum, Brigadier General Burdette "Burt" Thompson as our speaker. Ferrum College friends, faculty, staff and students gathered in Garber Hall last Friday, home to the College's School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, to thank Faculty Emeriti Joe and Jane Stogner for their many years of service to the College as well as their recent Centennial Campaign gift. Their support is directed toward the Mary Morton Parsons Challenge, a challenge gift to complete renovations in Garber. in honor of the Stogners, Room 100 has been named the "Dr. Joe D.
