AUGUST 2014

A PACKED SUMMER PROGRAM

The Club has been serving up to 70 members per day, with nearly 110 different members attending each week.

While at the Club, members participate in activities that encourage academic success, healthy lifestyles and good character and citizenship.

"My favorite thing to do this summer is come to the Boys & Girls Club. I like going to sports program with Joe." - Jordan, Age 9
LEMONADE DAY 2014

Members learned the how-tos of starting and running their own business, and then put their knowledge to the test at our annual Lemonade Day event!

Thank you for supporting Club members by stopping by the lemonade stands. Together, we raised over $1,200 for our Club!

EMPOWERING AND EDUCATING YOUTH

Summer programs are designed to provide a unique and enriching experience for Club members.

Thanks to a continued partnership with Chippewa Falls Area Unified Schools, members have participated in fun and hands-on educational activities lead by certified teachers every morning.

Each afternoon, members engage in Boys & Girls Club programs including art, physical fitness activities, gardening, cooking and more.

FIGHTING ILLITERACY

Members have spent the summer reading new stories and old favorites at the Chippewa Falls Public Library as a part of their summer reading program.

This summer, members have spent over 1,400 hours reading!
LEARNING THROUGH EXPERIENCE

Club members have had opportunities to take educational field trips including visits to Darley, the Irvine Park Zoo, and a special event with the DNR. Each trip has been a unique experience designed to encourage youth to continue learning outside of the classroom.

GETTING ACTIVE

The Club's Triple Play program encourages health and wellness of the body, mind and soul. As a part of this program, members participate in sports and recreation at the park, physical fitness activities at 3D Fitness, and nutrition education programs at the Club.

Club members visit the park daily to play active games that teach the value of physical fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship.

It is our mission to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
