Boys & Girls Club - Menomonie Center
Opening in October

The Menomonie Center will be opening for youth programming this October at the River Heights Elementary School for all area youth, grades third through eighth. The Menomonie Center to be open after school from 3pm - 6pm for elementary students, 3pm-7pm for middle school students, and during the summer from 7:30am - 6pm. The Club will also be open on School's Out days, giving youth the opportunity to be in a safe, productive place instead of at an unsupervised location.

Additionally, the Club will provide daily snack and dinner during the school year along with breakfast, lunch and snack during the summer months and on school breaks. Members will be able to participate in all of the programs, meals, transportation, and special events for an annual membership fee of only $10 per person or $20 per family.

And please join us as we welcome Ashley DeMuth as the Center Director for the Menomonie Center!  Ashley first joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley in 2011 as the Office Manager of the Corporate Office in Eau Claire.  She then took on the role of Community Relations Coordinator in 2014.  As Center Director for the Menomonie Center, she will be directing the Boys & Girls Club after school programs, community collaborations, and recruitment and training of volunteers.  Volunteers will be recruited to tutor members, prepare meals and snacks, assist in program creation and execution and assist with everyday tasks.  If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a volunteer for the Boys & Girls Club, please contact Ashley DeMuth at ademuth@cvclubs.org or visit www.cvclubs.org for more information.

Local Business Partners Come Together to Support the
Boys & Girls Club - Menomonie Center

Local business partners have stepped forward in the fundraising efforts to support the new Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley coming to Menomonie this fall, through a new "Partners in Business - Partners in the Community" collaboration. The Menomonie Center has been awarded a $100,000 matching grant from the Otto Bremer Foundation, with all funds received in 2014 to be matched by the foundation up to $100,000.

To help maximize this match, local business partners in the Menomonie community have come together and made significant gifts to the Menomonie Center, with Fairmount Santrol (formerly Fairmount Minerals) giving $25,000, Cardinal Glass with $20,000, and the Andersen Windows Corporate Foundation granting $10,000. Each contribution will be matched by the Otto Bremer Foundation.

"Fairmount Santrol is committed to providing time, talent and treasure within the communities where our employees work and live.  We are excited to be a part of this amazing opportunity for youth in the Menomonie area.  We are proud to be a contributor to the Boys & Girls Club, and look forward to seeing the benefits that this will provide for children in our neighborhood," states Lauren Evans, Sustainable Development Coordinator for Fairmount Santrol.

A special thank you to everyone at Fairmount Santrol, Cardinal Glass and the Andersen Windows Corporate Foundation for their generous support!
