The friendships built within a team can last a lifetime for some players, and the journey of a team throughout a season is often.

Tiberio de Frias
BC Soccer Referees Committee
Community Committee Member
BC Soccer Provincial Instructor
CSA National Assessor

A few years ago Lower Island Soccer Association's board member Tiberio de Frias was called to the BC Soccer Referee Development Committee. We would have loved it if he stayed with us forever but he got the Provincial call-up and as well as the CSA call-up to be an Assessor in the National Program. So we wished him well and it has paid off in our community ever since.  The BC Soccer Referees Committee is an integral part of the National Associations Structure.  They facilitate development programs at all levels of officiating. They appoint referees to competitions in BC, they nominate candidates for the national list of officials and nominate instructors and assessors as well.

Tiberio is passionate about the candidates program and enjoys opportunities for teaching so that all officials can reach their referee goals.

At LISA we know there can be no game without officials and appreciate the work that Tiberio and the BC Soccer Referees Committee provide to our officials.  To take a refresher course or entry level course visit the BC Soccer website

A penalty kick is being taken during play. The ball bounces off the cross bar back to the player taking the kick, she then kicks the ball again, into the goal.

Do you...

allow the goal,
restart with a indirect free kick,
restart with a direct free kick,
restart with a drop ball, or
redo the penalty kick?
Kick-off?
Goal Kick?
Corner Kick?
