Team Selection and LISA Rules
As clubs are holding assessments and forming teams for next season right now we wanted to provide a quick overview of some key LISA rules.

There are three (3) out-of-boundary players (transfers) per team for U13-U18.  This includes U17 & U18 and VIPL teams.  If your team is found to have more than the three allowable out-of-boundary players then the team will be removed from the schedule immediately.

LISA rules are actually rules agreed upon by the clubs and the responsibility to enforce theses rules lies with the LISA.  Therefore this section to intended to help team's make sure they are in compliance.

We have posted the full rule and some examples of available exemptions to help you form a compliant team:  http://www.lowerislandsoccer.com/rules-and-regulations/

To check if a player is an out-of-boundary or an in-boundary player enter the player's home address in our convenient boundary map.  A marker will be placed on the map and you can zoom in/out to find the home boundary.  If the pin is on the edge of a boundary and you are are unsure of the player's status, please call the LISA office or speak to your registrar asap.

Vancouver Island Wave team enjoys more than just soccer!

While most VI Wave teams played one game last weekend vs TOFC, the U15 girls faced both Thompson Okanagan and Mountain United. Mountain United invited our squad to a BBQ after the match. On the field it was a very competitive game that ended in a 1-1 tie and off the field everyone was reminded that sport is about more than just the game. Great athleticism, sportsmanship and citizenship were on full display this weekend, thanks everyone!  Look for BCSPL two games this weekend at PISE.

Who's on your team?

Brian Davis

Head Scheduler

Brian Davis has been involved with our district since the 1986/1987 season. He is a man that has seen it all and is willing to keep coming back.

His head scheduler role encompasses planning, preparing and re-preparing schedules for the current 7800 players in our four levels of play, plus festivals and of course cup play. In addition to scheduling he has also been a score recorder for the past 29 years, each year recording for approximately 3-4 divisions.

Thanks Brian, enjoy your soccer-less summer!
