Spectator and Technical Areas - Reminder | Please remember wherever physically possible, to adhere to the FIFA and BC Soccer rule that team benches should be on the same side AND spectators should be placed on the opposite side. As not all parks physically allow for this it is expected spectators will maintain a distance of 20 metres to the benches if they are on the same side. Please also remember, wherever possible to create and always respect the technical area for team officials. FIFA guidelines on technical areas:
- Technical area extends one metre on either side of the designated seated area and extends forward up to a distance of one metre from the touchline
- Only one person at a time is authorised to convey tactical instructions from the technical area
- The coach and other officials must remain within its confines except in special circumstances, eg. a physiotherapist or doctor entering the field of play, with the referee's permission, to assess an injured player
- The coach and other occupants of the technical area must behave in a responsible manner

Where are they now? Molly Stone |
Molly Stone was a member of the 2006 Girls U14 Metro team that won the Provincial Championship and placed 5th in Toronto at the Nationals. We caught up with Molly and this is her story.
Where have you been: Making the decision to go to school and play collegiate soccer in the US was one of the best decisions I've ever made. In my freshman year I came into a team that had just won a conference championship and had played in the NCAA National tournament so I set a goal for myself to get to that place. A year later I found myself standing on the field in Stillwater Oklahoma in the NCAA National Tournament against nationally ranked #4 Oklahoma State!
Experiences like playing live on ESPN and in front of thousands of people is truly a dream I never thought I'd achieve, but hard work and dedication got me there. My collegiate career is one of my lifetime highs. I have been fortunate enough to be blessed with awards and achievements that will remind me of this time in my life for years to come. I earned Freshman of the Year, Captain my Junior and Senior year and was recognized as a 1st Team All-Conference player and got Nationally Ranked for goals and assists.
Recently I was selected to work for the Berkshire Soccer Academy for Girls. BSA is an elite all girls summer sleep away soccer camp in East Otis Massachusetts around 2 hours outside of New York. I was honored to coach along side soccer legends Mia Hamm, Kristine Lilly, and Tisha Hoch. Being able to surround myself with my childhood idols is more than I could ask for. I am approaching graduation and can't imagine where I would be without soccer. It has opened so many doors and taught me so much. I will be graduating with a degree in English Education and will attend grad school for Coaching and Athletics.
Congratulations Molly! We're very proud of you!
