A Message from Blake Fennell, President & CEO Abrisa Technologies
I have been with Abrisa Technologies for two months now and continue to learn about our markets, customers, and product offering. I plan to spend much of this quarter visiting many of our customers to gain a better understanding of their specific requirements and determine how Abrisa Technologies can strengthen our partnerships.
Our employees are knowledgeable and dedicated to providing high quality glass fabrication and precision optical coating solutions in a timely fashion to support our customer's needs.
I'm pleased to announce the hiring of Bob Miller at Abrisa Technologies. Bob is a world class Operational and Systems expert who will oversee both Abrisa Industrial Glass (AIG) and ZC&R thin film coating operations. Learn more about Bob Miller.
Rob Cabrera, who has been with the ZC&R division since 1984 will assume the role of VP of Engineering and Technology for all of Abrisa Technologies. This newly created position will play a pivotal role by expanding engineering competencies, identifying new capabilities and products to better vertically integrate our optical solutions. Abrisa Technologies Hot Mirrors are Ideal for Heat Control Applications
The ZC&R Coatings for Optics (ZC&R) division of Abrisa Technologies can supply hot mirrors or short wave pass filters (SWP) for heat control applications.
For hot mirrors a thin film coating is applied to a glass substrate, such as soda-lime or borosilicate, in order to reflect infrared radiation either as a means to harness the reflected wavelengths for an application or remove them from an application.
Typical features of hot mirrors include:
High transmission for the visible light range
High reflection of infrared
Utilize high quality borosilicate glass substrates - SCHOTT BorofloatŪ
Thin film dielectric multi-layer coating
Standard angles of incidence are 0 and 45 degrees
Current Hot Mirror offerings from our ZC&R division include:
Cold Mirrors Available in Sizes up to 27" Diameter
Our ZC&R Coatings for Optics division offers cold mirrors that reflect ultra violet or visible energy while transmitting the infrared (heat energy). Cold mirrors are vacuum deposited multi-layer dielectric films that can operate in temperatures of ≥400°C and are durable and easy-to-clean.
The glass substrate used for our cold mirrors is SCHOTTBorofloatŪ, a versatile borosilicate glass substrate with excellent thermal properties.
Thickness availability is 1.1mm, 1.75mm, and 3.3mm. Cold mirror sizes are available up to 27" diameter.
