Welcome to all 2,408 newsletter subscribers!
Hurricane season hasn't officially begun yet, but the first named storm is already drifting by to our west. Hurricane Amanda caused some light cloud cover the past few days, and we even received a few drops of rain from her last night. For current weather conditions, stay tuned to the Official Jaltemba Bay Weather Page.
We have several upcoming events, some local news and three new vacation rental listings to share with you in this issue. By the way, if you've been considering advertising your hotel or rental, now is the time. Our advertisers have received 207 reservation inquiries during the past month and over 800 inquiries so far this year! Intrigued? Learn why you should list with Jaltemba Bay Life.
Once again, we are sending a plea to all the writers and photographers out there -- our photo and article archives are empty. Please look through your photos of day trips, adventures and new places you discovered, and submit your stuff so we can share it with our readers (learn more below).
To find out what else is happening, read through the information
below and take a peek at our online Community Calendar.
The next issue of the Jaltemba Bay Life Newsletter will arrive in your Inbox on Wednesday, June 11 just in time for your morning coffee. In the meantime, keep an eye on our blog and forum, as we post information, stories and photos there on a regular basis.
Saludos!

Black Vulture
by Tosia Archer
| |
While Black Vultures are not the most attractive birds in the Jaltemba Bay area, they do serve a necessary function -- that of disposing of dead and rotting flesh (yuck!) and are basically the garbage guts of the earth. Appropriately, I took this photo at the landfill in Rincón de Guayabitos. The landfill and surrounding area is a place... Read More
We love sharing photos from our readers. Please email your photos (at least 500 pixels wide) to Allyson@JaltembaBayLife.com. Include a photo title, a detailed description of what the photo is and/or where it was taken (the more information, the better), the photographer's name, as well as the city and state/province where the photographer lives if not from the Jaltemba Bay area. We can't wait to see what you've been up to lately!
