|
Our programmers are back from vacation and have been busy working on our remaining annual summer website changes and updates. Here is what we've completed since the last issue:
UPDATE: Recommendations & Reviews
People have been able to recommend their favorite restaurants, businesses, hotels and vacation rentals on Jaltemba Bay Life since October 2012. Not only have we made it easier to write a recommendation, but now you can also read the most recent reviews and see which businesses are in the running for the 2013 Most Recommended Places in Jaltemba Bay.

 |
In case you missed it, we have also implemented these new features, updates and improvements over the past few months:
UPDATE: Improved Deals & $pecials
We have totally overhauled our Deals & $pecials options. Users can now sort current deals and specials by price (low to high), expiration date, location, recommendations and name of rental. Hotel and rental owners can now add up to two deals at once and they can be offered for a longer period of time. If you haven't already booked a place to stay this season, our Deals & $pecials page is a great place to start. View current Deals!
NEW: Live Forum Chat
Forum members can now interact with one another instantly via the new real-time chatroom on Jaltemba Bay Folk. In addition to the public chatroom, members can also initiate a one-on-one private chat with other online members on our forum. Click on the "Chat" tab to get started. Read More
NEW: Home and Business Owner Discussion Forum
Based on an abundance of feedback, we have gone ahead and created a private subforum on Jaltemba Bay Folk for residents, homeowners and business owners. This is a place where residents and owners can have open and productive discussions about the sewer, water, healthcare, press and other issues that affect those of us who have a vested interest in our community. NEW: Translation Tool
Users are now able to translate the entire Jaltemba Bay Life website from English to Spanish or French. Yep, you asked and we listened!
UPDATE: Weather Station and Rental Buttons
You may have noticed that the rental and weather station buttons have disappeared from Jaltemba Bay Life. You can now find our Hotel & Vacation Rental Directory under the grey "Where To Stay" tab. The new weather button will move to it's new location in a few weeks. In the meantime, you can access our live local weather page via the "Weather" tab.
