President's Letter
February has come and gone and already we have seen much success with Chamber events.
Thanks to everyone who attended the Chambers' Annual Dinner. Congratulations to the East Des Moines Business of the Year: Bright Grand View Golf Course and South Des Moines Business of the Year: DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton /Johnny's Italian Steakhouse. Special congratulations to the East Des Moines Citizen of the Year: Senator Dick Dearden; South Des Moines Citizen of the Year: Michael Mauro; and Bobby Tursi, who was awarded the Jim Goodman Entrepreneurial Spirit Award. Next time you run into these award winners, be sure to pass on your congratulations!
Visit our Facebook page to see pictures from the Annual Dinner.
With March we welcome many more exciting events. Whether you are looking for an activity to meet other community members or want to participate more in your Chambers, we encourage you to sign up for events and get more involved in Chamber committees. We welcome any suggestions for things the Chamber can do to get more people involved. If you are interested in learning about different ways to do more with the Chambers, contact Sadie.
Thanks for your continued support of the chamber!

Executive Director Update
Our focus this month will be on educating ambassadors and board members to better serve you and grow our Chamber.
Your membership is valued greatly! We want to know your expectations of the Chamber, so we can grow along with you. We hope you find an opportunity to participate in all that we have to offer: committees, special groups to pass business referrals or help owners focus on their business, ribbon cutting celebrations, happy hours, lunch programs and marketing opportunities!
