You are receiving this notice because we have not received your company's Maryland Collection Agency renewal application for 2016. As a result, the company MUST CEASE CONDUCTING BUSINESS ON JANUARY 1, 2016.
Additionally, if you do not submit the application by December 31, 2015, but you intend to continue in the business, THE COMPANY MUST APPLY FOR A NEW COLLECTION AGENCY LICENSE prior to resuming business, as Maryland statutes do not provide for a grace period for late filers.
The renewal link can be found here. In order to renew, the company must provide the following documentation:
Bond Coverage
Licensees must provide a bond verification or continuation certificate dated after September 1, 2015, to establish that coverage is sufficient and in effect.
Certificate of Good Standing
Licensees formed under Maryland law must provide a Certificate of Good Standing issued by the Maryland Department of Assessment and Taxation that must be dated after September 1, 2015.
Licensees whose state of formation is not Maryland must provide a certificate of good standing issued by the state of formation, and a certificate of good standing issued by the Maryland Department of Assessment and Taxation, both of which must be dated after September 1, 2015.
