Action Alert!

Urge Humana to Reverse its Decision to Cover Only One Augmentation Therapy. This

decision implements a strict, single product drug restriction for alpha-1 antitrypsin augmentation, a critical therapeutic available in four formulations that, as biologicals, are not considered generically equivalent.

The Alpha-1 Association and Alpha-1 Foundation have announced their impending merger effective July 1st. This merger unifies the voice of the community in advocacy, advances and expands educational opportunities, provides for greater efforts in detection and support, and continues to fund critical research that will lead to the cure.
