Tennessee Senior Olympics moving Golf Championship to

The Golf Capital of Tennessee for 2016 State Finals

 

Nashville, Tenn. -

        The Tennessee Senior Olympics is excited to announce that Crossville, TN, also known as The Golf Capital of Tennessee, has been selected to host the 2016 State Finals Golf Championship.

 

        Senior golfers aged 50 and older will be invited to showcase their skills and share in some friendly competition at HeatherhurstGolf Club's Crag Course in Fairfield Glade.

The tournament is tentatively scheduled for June 13-14, 2016 and expects to draw over 100 players from across the state.  

 

        Golfers will compete within five-year age groups, starting at age 50. All age groups will be determined by athletes' ages as of December 31 of 2016.

 

        In conjunction with this media release, the Tennessee Senior Olympics is proud to announce a new affiliation with the Tennessee Golf Association, whereby the association will assist Tennessee Senior Olympics with promoting the State Finals Golf Championship to golfers in Tennessee, in addition to, providing administrative and operational support at the championship site.  

 

        Also joining this partnership is the City of Crossville.   Billy Loggins, Marketing/Public Relations Director, serves on the local and State Senior Olympics Board and will be spearheading all efforts in Crossville.
