OPEN SPORTS exceptions: Archery, Cycling (5K/20K), Power Walk, Racquetball, Road Races (5K/10K), Pole Vault, and Triple Jump as well as any sport not offered at your district.

In addition, brand new athletes to our system are eligible. Our board recently passed this rule:

New Participant Rule

An athlete who has never participated at any level of the Tennessee Senior Olympics system but who desires to participate in the state finals will be granted:

  • A one- time only exception from qualifying in district competition.
  • This will require payment of all state finals fees plus a district processing fee of $20 payable to the district.
  • This does not apply to the state finals open sports. An athlete may register directly for these sports.
  • If you know someone who is interested and qualifies for this rule please contact us for a waiver form to file.

Mail and Online Available

If you participated in a district last fall an entry form will automatically be mailed to you. Expect this form by mid-February.  It may also be downloaded by clicking the link below:

2014 State Finals ENTRY FORM - please click here

You have two options for registering:

1.)  Online registration:

Online registration will be available at www.tnseniorolympicsonline.com starting February 11

In an effort to make Online Registration proceed smoothly, PLEASE have the following information on hand.

  1. A Mastercard, Visa, or Discover card.
  2. Doubles players will need your doubles partner's name and date of birth.
  3. Team captains must have the names and ages of players ready.
  4. Your district place (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th) and time in swimming and track. If you do not know your exact time please place an approximate time. This is used for placement in heats if needed.

2.) OR via mail:

Mail the entry form insert and check to the address listed on the entry form. Please note that confirmation letters and newsletters will be e-mailed this year. If you wish to have this mailed there will be a $5 charge.

Team captains please note: Teams will not be officially registered without either an online or paper roster. We expect over 100 teams between the 3 team sports and it is very confusing for the staff to make sure all teams are in the proper age group and sport without a roster. Thanks so much for helping us out on all of these matters. You will be receiving a separate e-mail soon with additional details.

Golf Tournament

We are thrilled to announce that the Hermitage Golf Course will host our state finals golf tournament.

The Hermitage, known for their tournament expertise, has a beautiful facility that will accommodate all of our tournament needs.

We will play on the General's Retreat. The General's Retreat at the Hermitage received the coveted Four Star Rating from Golf Digest, the highest rating in Tennessee, and has been home of the LPGA Sara Lee Classic in the past. Designed by Gary Rogers Baird, the General's Retreat offers 6,800 yards of challenging golf and scenic beauty with eight lakes and well-placed bunkers along the banks of the Cumberland River. The General's Retreat is beautiful and lush green year round with bent grass greens and special overseeded bermuda fairways.

The Hermitage clubhouse contains an award-winning golf shop, locker accommodations, dining rooms, grill, a snack bar and lounge. Other facility amenities include a ten acre practice range with chipping and putting greens. The golf fleet is up to date with 2008 model Yamahas equipped with GPS systems.

The tournament will be held on Tuesday, April 1st and Wednesday, April 2nd with an 8:00 am shotgun start. A nonprofit rate of $45 per day has been secured for the golf fee. This includes the greens fee, cart, range balls, and lunch.

We will also host a party for golfers and their guests the night of April 1st. You can make reservations and payment for this on your entry form or online.

For practice times please call 615-847-4001 or you can book online at http://hermitagegolf.com/  Additional details will be e-mailed to each golfer who registers.
