This fall, athletes will have the opportunity to participate at one of our ten district events in order to participate in next summer's state finals. This will work as detailed below for 2013 and 2014:

Fall 2013         Athletes must participate in one of Tennessee's ten      districts in order to qualify for the 2014 State Finals.

June 2014       State Finals (dates will be announced this fall) Qualified athletes will participate for a chance to move on to the 2015 Nationals in Minneapolis, MN.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.  What age group will I be in? What if my age changes from fall 2013 to summer 2014?

For the 2013 districts, age will be determined as of December 31, 2014.  For the 2014 state finals, age will be determined as of December 31, 2014.  This is to ensure that athletes are practicing and playing in the age group that they will be placed in at the summer 2014 state finals.  For example, an individual who turns 50 on April 1, 2014 will play in the 50-54 division in the fall 2013 districts although he or she is 49 at the time.

Athletes must be 50 years old by December 31 of 2014 year to compete in the 2014 state finals.

2.  Will all sports require qualification at a district?

No. We plan to keep the following sports "open": archery, cycling, the 5K and 10K road race, racquetball, and the power and fitness walk. These sports do not require district participation. In addition, if your district does not offer a sport is it considered open.

3.  I cannot make the date for my district. What can I do?

Please remember that you can participate in any one of the ten districts. All entry forms are posted on our website so dates of events can be checked.

Williamson County Extends our Contract!

We are thrilled to announce that Williamson County has extended our contract for five years through 2018.

Williamson County has been an extraordinary host and we are extremely grateful for our partnerships with Williamson County Parks and Recreation with Director Doug Hood, Mayor Rogers Anderson, Battle Ground Academy, and many other supporting agencies. We truly could not hold this event without their support.
