We hope you will join us at a special event on October 24: our Volunteer Appreciation Reception honoring all of our dedicated legal clinic volunteers.

 

Through legal clinics in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island (plus a new one soon to be officially announced in the Bronx), our volunteers are responsible for serving hundreds of members of our community each year. In many instances, our clinic visitors would have no opportunity to speak with an attorney absent this service. We know, because our visitors tell us, that the work of our clinic volunteers makes a huge impact: saving people from unnecessary evictions, ensuring that families understand their legal rights or enabling visitors to recover money or qualify for government assistance, to name just a few examples.    

 

With our Volunteer Appreciation Reception, which we hope to make an annual event, we extend our gratitude to the individuals who make this work possible. 

 

Whether you have volunteered yourself or not we'd love many of you to join us at this reception. And if you're interested in volunteering for one of our clinics, please do attend an upcoming CLE training we will be holding on October 22 (details to come). 

 

If you have volunteered, we especially hope to see you there.
