Two more Pride events we hope to see you at!
AIDS in NY Exhibit Invite

As part of our Pride month activities, we hope many of you will be able to join us at the New York Historical Society for the exhibit, "AIDS in New York: The First Five Years," which explores the impact of the epidemic on personal lives, public health and medical practices, culture, and politics in New York City and the nation. Drawing from the archives of the New York Public Library, New York University, and the National Archive of LGBT History, the show will use posters, photographs, and artifacts to tell the story of the early years of AIDS in New York.

We think this month of Pride is an appropriate time for us to reflect on the impact of the AIDS epidemic and on the challenges that still remain. On that front, for those who may have missed it, a coalition of LGBT rights organizations and beyond also recently penned an open letter, Let's Stop Falling Behind on HIV, reminding us of the continued fight against HIV and some alarming statistics about new infection rates among the LGBTQ community. That letter is available here.

The cost will be the regular museum rates and tickets will need to be purchased the day of.

The LeGaL group will be meeting at 12:30pm at the museum's Central Park West entrance by the stairs. Registrants for the event will be provided with contact information for John Martin of our Networking & Social who has organized this great event. Join us after for a brunch at a location nearby TBD.
