Dear (Contact First Name),

Sometimes we are so busy telling ourselves

who we aren't,

that we forget to discover who we are and
who we can become.

It's possible. We can spend time listening to our internal voice saying, "that's not me!" We may even use general qualifiers such as never and always to define who we think we are. We may tell ourselves, "I'm not analytical, creative or sexy."

The truth is we are a little of everything, and more of others. To deny ourselves being a little of something, is to deny ourselves the acknowledgment of our humanity.

Perhaps saying "not" is a denying mechanism that we really may be a little of everything.  A desire for safety, our fear, our competitive side and lack of confidence does not want us to discover that we may be only "a little good" rather than best, so we opt for the "not."

Just for today, ask yourself:

  • What things come to my mind to which I automatically say, "Oh, that's not me?"
  • What am I doing now that I never thought I would be doing?
  • Who am I and what am I able to become "a little of"?

Best wishes for brilliance, boldness and balance!
