Greetings! ,
Years ago in another work life, I integrated the concept of The Five Circles of Health into our rehab programs. Managing a chronic illness can take its toll on the person and the family. Our goal was to help our patients consciously engage in activities to integrate all aspects of "health" into their care regimen.
Each of us may experience a variety of "chronics" in our lives. Family distress. Work pressures. Frequent changes to adapt to. Financial challanges. When we envision the term "balance," we may idealistic envision an equal division of "circles." Yet, depending on your personal life events and stage of life, some circles may carry more weight than others. What is important is that each circle carry some weight within your personal life balance.
If you were to draw your five circles today, which one(s) will you add weight to?
I hope you enjoy this month's tips and newsletter!
Thank you for your connection and best wishes for a balanced life!
Lisa

Taking Time to Pause - and Awe
When is the last time you took a mental mini-vacation and specifically focused on an "awe memory?" A new study in the journal Psychological Science shows that feelings of awe seem to slow down time and boost feelings of life satisfaction. The participants cued to recall awe reported feeling less impatient and more willing to spend time helping others.
Just for Today,
What or when in my life have I experienced awe?
How do I create intent to take time to reflect back on that awe?
How can I create new opportunities to frecall awe in my daily life including my work life?
How will I take two minutes today, close my eyes, and remember my awe moment?
What can we do in our work environment to pause and recall awe? |
