"Forgiveness does not change the past,
but does enlarge the future."
- Paul Boese
One of my friend's personal projects is to enlarge and bring spaciousness to her life. Although her goal is to decrease personal clutter and thereby create visual spaciousness, her visual spaciousness would also result in an emotional spaciousness that would allow the creative life in.
We have many ways in which we can bring spaciousness into our lives.
We can decrease the physical clutter. We can decrease the mental clutter that constrains our thinking and being. We can limit the number of free round trips in our minds of critical opinions, judgments or feelings about others. Our cup that may appear half empty and create feelings of despair or remorse may also be the half-spacious glass to welcome and embrace brilliant, new ideas, people and events into our life.
Just for Today, ask yourself:
What types of mental clutter am I reliving in my mind?
What am I doing and thinking with a more spacious mind?
How can I move the clutter on to create a more spacious and open mind?
Best wishes as you create your spacious and brilliant day!
