MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT

All Vision Charter School K-12th grade students are invited to drop in from 3:30-7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18. Parking will be easiest for those showing up from 3:30-5:00. . The gates will be open to the neighboring subdivision for those wanting to park and walk. 7th -12th grade students will go to the secondary building gym and get an updated schedule in addition to their locker assignment. Students will be assigned their grade level locker partner this year. 7-12th grade students will drop off their advisory supplies in their advisory classroom listed on their schedule.

Sixth grade students will go to building D to receive their schedule and put away their supplies. All other students will go to their assigned classroom to drop off supplies and see where their seat will be prior to the first day of school. This is an important time to communicate with the teacher how your child will get home the first day of school.

Parents needing to fill out a secondary course change request, request a Parent Portal Password, schedule a meeting with the counselor, or order lunches may do so during this time in the cafeteria.

Bring your money to buy dinner and/or beverages! We are inviting multiple food trucks to sell drinks and food during the Meet the Teacher event as a fundraiser for the Junior Class

Seventh - Twelfth Grade Locker Selection Process and Procedures:

Students who are interested in picking a friend to share a locker for the 2015-2016 school year will need to arrive together to the "Meet the Teacher Night" on August 18th from 3:30-7 p.m. and register together for their locker with Mrs. Lair. Students will be able to select their locker from a predetermined group of lockers per grade level. This option quickly diminishes throughout the "Meet the Teacher" evening due to lockers being selected by students. If you show up late, the likelihood of having to select a locker with someone already in it significantly increases. Those not coming to "Meet the Teacher Night" will be assigned to a locker.

Once locker assignments are finalized Wednesday, August 19th at 9:00 a.m., no changes will be able to be made to locker assignments throughout the year. Students are held accountable for any damage occurred to the inside of their locker due to negligence, stickers, markers, etc.  Vision Charter School does not have empty or extra lockers for people to make mid-year changes. All requests will be denied. Students deciding to not have a locker will be deciding to carry all of their belongings in a "cinch bag" as regular sized backpacks are not allowed in the classroom to ensure clear aisles. Students are also strongly encouraged to put a lock on their locker.

Secondary Schedule Change Requests:

This year, you can come in to school or electronically submit a class change request form (drop/add form) for class changes PRIOR to the start of school. Teacher signatures will not be required prior to school beginning.
Secondary students can come in to complete change forms or speak to Ms. Dowski, Counselor Monday (8/10), Wednesday (8/12), and Thursday (8/13), 12:00pm-3:00pm. Tuesday (8/11) students and parents can come in between 4:00pm-6:00pm. Students who are part of the AA program can email Ms. Dowski to set up individual times or come during the times listed above.
If students and parents want to electronically submit the add/drop form, retrieve the form at this link: http://visioncsdcounselor.weebly.com/academic-forms.html  and complete the form. Scan and return via email to Ms. Dowski at marydowski@visioncsd.org
Class changes AFTER the beginning of school will only be allowed the first week of school, (8/19-8/26), and will then need teacher signatures.
As always, change requests are not guaranteed and cannot always be fulfilled.
