Parents and students taking the 9th Grade Hybrid English Class this summer:

Please join me for a mandatory orientation meeting Thursday, May 21st at 7:00 p.m. in my classroom, Room 111.  We will be covering the syllabus and expectations, assigning literature, familiarizing ourselves with the vocabulary program, grammar curriculum and Edmodo, itself.  There is no make-ups for this meeting, so if you or your student cannot attend, please contact me immediately.

Report Cards:

K-5th grade report cards will be sent home with students by the last day of school.  6th -12th grade report cards will be mailed home on June 3, 2015. If you have experienced a change in address, please email Mrs. Bowers at amybowers@visioncsd.org. 

7th-12th grade 2015-2016 schedules:
Schedules will be sent home with students before the end of the year or mailed home in report cards. If you have questions or concerns about your child's schedule after reviewing it, please email Ms. Dowski at marydowski@visioncsd.org.  She will return to work the first week of August and will be able to work on any scheduling issues at that time. 

Symphony and Choir:

"All students who are interested in signing up for either Advanced Symphony or High School Honors Choir are asked to attend an informational session on the stage Tuesday, May 19, from 3:15-3:30 with Mr. and Mrs. Ellis.  We will be discussing an exciting travel opportunity for these two groups next year, and planning must begin now.  Here's a hint: Mouse Ears will be involved!"

May 18: In celebration of learning, all students will have no dress code for the rest of the year (Modesty rules still apply)

May 19: 6th grade spring concert and music awards at 7 p.m. on the VCS stage.

May 19: Last Day Seniors

May 20: RAD RALLY field trip for 4th and 5th grade students

May 21: FIELD DAY: K-3rd grade from 12:00-1:30 and 4th - 6th grade 1:40-2:50

May 22: Last Day Awards Schedule:  6th -8th grade awards from  8:20-9:15,

9th-11th grade awards from 9:25-10:25, sack lunch outside whole school from 10:30-11:10, 3rd-5th grade awards from 11:20- 12:10, Kindergarten-2nd grade awards from 12:20-1:30, early release at 1:40.

May 23: Graduation practice at 10 a.m. and the ceremony will start at 7 p.m. in the Nampa Civic Center auditorium. Idaho's First Lady will be our guest speaker!

June 11: Board Meeting and Budget Hearing 5:30 p.m. in the VCS library.

August 18: Meet the Teacher K-12th grade 3:30-7:00 p.m

August 19: First Day of School  8:05-3:16

August 25: Kindergarten First Day of School

VCS BOARD ELECTIONS:  This year we have two board members up for re-election. These board members will be running again for their positions as incumbents. Elections, voting procedures, and candidates will be announced the end of May via the e-mail newsletter and the website. Please direct all questions to Mrs. OldenKamp at wendyroldenkamp@msn.com.  Anyone interested in running for a position on the Vision Charter School Board must fill out the VCS Board Member Application available in the VCS office and return it to the school no later than Friday, May 22, 2015.

Buses will depart at 3:20 p.m. (Same as this year)
