Don't know what to do with all the old clothes you accumulated over the years?  Bring them to school!  Yes, let us do the work for you!  Donate all your old clothes the night of the Science Fair/Carnival Friday, May 1st.  Just look for the large pick-up truck with donation signs parked in front of the Elementary Office.  All donations will be taken to Savers as a fundraiser to support the Vision Charter High School Swim Team.

SWIM TEAM:

For those interested in joining the swim team next year, there will be an informational meeting in H-2 (Elementary side) on Tuesday, May 12th right after school for about 20 minutes.  Hope to see you then!  If you cannot make it, please contact head coach Kara Evans at karaevans@visioncsd.org for more information.

Science Night May 1, 2015: Presentations

The following high school students will be presenting on various topics at the science night during the school carnival from 4pm-7pm.  All students were involved in the following projects, but these students were selected based on their ability to analyze and communicate the data from their research in class.  This is an honor for these students as only a few groups from each class were selected to present.  Each presentation should run approximately 15 minutes.  The presentations will take place in the secondary science lab (see schedule below) in room 105.  We are hoping to have a panel of experts from various colleges and scientific fields come in and listen to the presentations.  This panel will give the students feedback following their presentation and do a short Q&A.  Please come support these students so that they don't have to present to an empty room.  The door will remain locked during each presentation so please make sure you get there during the transition times if you want to be a part of the audience.  The presentations will range from patterns of inheritance (genetics), to the effects of technology on new learning (brain research), to how small changes in an ecosystem can result in cascading effects and environmental change (ecology).  Also please take the time to view all of the amazing Imagine Tomorrow projects from Mrs. Mitchell's chemistry and physics students as well. It should be a very interesting evening.
