7th- 12th grade DODGEBALL SOCIAL

Just remember the five D's of dodgeball: "Dodge", "Duck", "Dip", "Dive", and  "Dodge". --Patches O'Houlihan    

These words of wisdom will come in handy when attending the Dodgeball Social, Friday April 10th!  Middle school teams will come head to head from 5-7 while enjoying soda and pizza.  Mr. Boothby's 7th graders, the Burning Chili Cheese Dogs, will be wearing Orange to take on Ms. Vance's 7th Grade Winning Blue Turtles.  They will also be competing against Mrs. Collins' 8th Grade Black Ninjas and Mr. Leavell's 8th Grade Super Red Llamas.  Entry Fee is $7 at the door.

 

Then from 7:30-8:30 the High school teams have their turn.  Mr. McDougall's Red Velociraptors of Doom will take on Mr. George's Grey Wolf Pack, Mrs. Mitchell's Purple Pounding Pumas, and Mr. Scheffler's Teal Narwhal Wombats.  The HS Dodgeball Tourney will be followed by a dance, dessert, and drinks.  Entry Fee is also $7 at the door.


Musical Theatre is proud to present "The Dastardly Dr. Devereaux", a musical melodrama.  Join Wendy March, Ivy Dripp, Lotta Cash, Dr. Phil Goode, and many others of the Hanover D. Cash medical clinic as they work to thwart the evil plans of Dogsbreath Devereaux and Hilda Hatchett in this silly work full of puns.  There will be three chances to see the performance: Friday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.  Tickets will be $3 per person or $10 for a family ticket.  There will be a dessert available for an additional $3 per dessert.  Come prepared to laugh, applaud, possibly boo the bad guys, and interact with a variety of zany characters!

 


THE CARNIVAL IS COMING!!!!!!

Mark your calendar to join us at the PFA CARNIVAL on May 1st from 4-7:30 p.m. at Vision Charter School! The PFA will be putting on an old fashioned carnival as a fundraiser to build the track. Tickets will be sold for $ .25 or $2 for 10 tickets. A few free activities will be available for all students to participate in during the carnival!

 

The carnival will include face painting, boat races, football toss, duck pond, fish bowl, bounce houses, silent auction, live cake auction, and many other fabulous carnival games. The PFA will be selling a variety of food during the event so come out and have dinner and snacks with your family and friends!

 

Parents and students will be able to stop in the classrooms to see the science fair projects from 4-6 p.m. and the carnival activities and food will be going from 4-7:30 p.m. continuously. I hope you will all plan on coming to this wonderful whole family evening.

We would LOVE to have a new or gently used four wheeler for the raffle! If you have a business and would like to donate something of value for the silent auction, drop it off at the office and leave your business card on the item so that we can thank you in the newsletter!

DRIVER'S ED:

In partnership with the Caldwell School District, we are pleased to offer a summer Driver Education course. Registration for this class will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 5:00pm in the Caldwell High School food court area. This course will be held June 1, 2015 through June 30, 2015. The first class will be held June 1st. This class will be held at THOMAS JEFFERSON CHARTER SCHOOL Monday through Friday, from 8:00am-9:30am. Students will receive 30 hours of classroom instruction plus 30 hours of driving instruction. Each student will be contacted by a driving instructor to schedule the driving portion of this course. The cost for the course is $180.00, with a $60 deposit due at the time of registration. In addition to the deposit, students MUST have their driver's permit receipt, issued by the DMV, in order to register for the course. Students must be 14 ½ years old on or before the day they purchase the driver's permit. A flyer with complete details about this course is available in the VCS Secondary office. Students who registered for the winter course but were not able to get a spot will be given registration priority for the summer course. Come out and cheer on our Volleyball Teams! Tuesday and Thursday games start at 3:30 p.m. in the gym.

April 28: Engineering class field trip visit Micron from 8:30 a.m. until noon.

May 1: K-12th grade Science Expo 4-6, All school Carnival, food, & auction 4-7:30

May 12: HS Pops concert and music awards  7 p.m. on the VCS stage

May 15: 4th and 5th grade field trip to Firebird Raceway leave campus at 10 return by 3.

May 18: RAD 7 p.m. on the VCS Stage

May 19: 6th grade spring concert and music awards at 7 p.m. on the VCS stage.

May 23: Graduation practice at 10 a.m. and the ceremony will start at 7 p.m. in the Nampa Civic Center auditorium.
