PANDA EXPRESS FUNDRAISER:

VCS music has a wonderful opportunity for some fundraising!  Do you enjoy eating at Panda Express?  Then come help us out!  Take the Panda Express flyer to the Caldwell Panda Express on February 13th any time during their normal operating hours.  Enjoy your meal, hand them the flyer, and you have helped us.  A percentage of what you paid will be donated directly to our music program.  We are hoping to raise enough money with fundraisers such as this to purchase some new school instruments for the percussion section, as well as another piano.  Flyers will be coming home with students this upcoming week. You may print as many flyers as you wish and hand them to all your friends and neighbors to use as well.  Flyers may be printed out from Vision Charter School facebook. Contact Mr. or Mrs. Ellis if you have any questions at debraellis@visioncsd.org !  Thanks for your support.

VCS STUDENT EARNS FIRST PLACE IN INVENT IDAHO COMPETITION:

Vision Charter School is proud to announce that one of its students has taken first place in the Southwest Idaho Invent Idaho competition.

Jules Van Haren, a 7th grader at VCS, has placed first with her invention of a technological pet collar. Jules is headed to the state of Idaho finals held at the University of Idaho. She has worked very hard to research, document, and present her idea to the judges and viewing public at the regional competition. Her idea and research proved enough for the judges to pick her project as an outstanding innovation for pets and their owners. Bode Swendson also represented VCS as he presented his amazing idea for a cure to the Ebola virus.

Congratulations to Jules and her family as they travel to University of Idaho for the Invent Idaho finals. If you would like to see Jules and her invention, be certain to attend the VCS Science Night on May 1st where she along with the best inventions at VCS will be presenting their ideas to all who attend.
