LOCAL SAFETY CONCERN:

It has been brought to the school's attention today that a Caucasian man with light brown scruffy hair and a brown mustache driving a Dark Blue and Bluish Green Car pulled over on the side of the road to talk to two young ladies (4 yrs old and 7 yrs old) and asked them what color their underwear were. This incident occurred around the area of Tansworth Avenue in Delaware Park shortly after three o'clock yesterday. The police indicate that a similar situation occurred last May at about the same time of day on Wilderness Road in Delaware Park. Law Enforcement is actively working on this case. They are dispatching extra patrols in our area to increase the safety of all students. Please contact Canyon County Dispatch at 454-7531 with any additional information that may lead to the arrest of this individual. I strongly encourage parents whose children walk from Delaware Park to consider alternative Transportation options until this individual is apprehended.  Another option would be to have your children walk with more students or older students. Please contact Mrs. OldenKamp at wendyoldenkamp@visioncsd.org if you live in that area and need assistance with finding other students for your children to walk to and from school with or if you would like me to advertise your information for a possible car pool.

GIVING TREE:

The National Honor Society is sponsoring our annual Christmas Giving Tree in order for some wonderful families to have a very merry Christmas!  There are items listed on the backs of ornaments on trees in both campus offices that you may come and pick up.  Once an ornament is taken, we will assume that you will be purchasing that item.  If for some reason, you take an ornament, and then are unable to purchase the item, please contact us so we can put a replacement ornament back on the tree.  Please bring back all items, UNWRAPPED, by Thursday, December 18th at noon.

If you aren't able to come in person to get an ornament, but still want to purchase something, please contact Sheree Knapp at 455-9220 ext. 310 and she can verbally tell you the items that are still available.  If you have any other questions, please also contact Sheree Knapp. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
