Anthony Moretti Student vs Staff Memorial Basketball Game summary

You are invited to go to Vision Charter School Facebook site to see exceptional pictures and videos of the Student versus Staff Memorial Basketball Game. It was a wonderful evening of school spirit and community building! We will all be talking about the full court shot made by Mitchell Dial that tied the game and sent the game into a double overtime until Mr. McDougall made the final winning shot for the staff! The fierce competition and high energy of the competitors and spectators made the game a night to remember! Thank you to all who contributed and attended! If you or someone you know took pictures or video of the full court shot, please have them send it to Mrs. OldenKamp at wendyoldenkamp@visioncsd.org

COLLEGE APPLICATION WEEK NOVEMBER 10-14:

Dear Students and Families,

The office of the State Board Of Ed is pleased to announce November 10-14, as Idaho College Application Week. Throughout this week, high schools across the state will host events to assist students with the college application process. Vision Charter School will participate in Idaho's College Application Week pilot year, with the goal of ensuring that all members of our senior class apply to at least one two-year or four-year college or university program this fall.

The overarching goal of Idaho College Application Week is to provide an opportunity for all Idaho seniors to complete and file college applications. To us, college means any education program beyond high school including certificate programs, two-degree programs, and four year-degree programs.

Vision Charter School senior students will be completing their college applications on Monday, November 10, 2014 during their advisory class (1:41-3:15 p.m.). Families are welcome to visit the school to assist their student during the application process. In addition, if you are interested in volunteering during the event, please let me know. Volunteers can assist students with the completion of online college applications, or distribute information about financial aid opportunities.

If you have questions, please call Mary Dowski, Counselor, at (208) 455-9220 (ext 324). You can also find more information about the initiative online at gotocollege.idaho.gov. Thank you in advance for your support of this exciting initiative to encourage Idaho's students to make college part of their future.

Sincerely,

Mrs.OldenKamp

PT conferences will be held on Friday, November 14th. Elementary staff will communicate with parents regarding the specific scheduled conference times or drop in opportunities as applicable. Report Cards will be distributed at Parent Teacher Conferences or sent home after conferences.

All 6th-12th grade parents may drop in for PT Conferences to the gym from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 14th.  Parents will be notified regarding requests for a scheduled PT conference.

CANNED FOOD DRIVE:
The Vision Charter High School Associated Student Body Board of Officials will begin the school wide food drive on, Thursday November 13, 2014. Students may bring unexpired, non-perishable items to their homeroom. Classroom teachers will continue to collect items until, Thursday November 20, 2014. Each grade level will "adopt" a family this year boxing up and decorating (optional) their own food contribution for this family. Students may write notes to the families if they wish. This will allow all classes to have the full can food drive experience. In addition the collection and distribution of boxes will be easier. Student government will be placing baked items in each box in lieu of class pizza parties.
