K-6th GRADE FIELD DAY:

Field Day for K-6th grade will be May 22nd!  We will have an ice cream station, obstacle course bounce house, tug of war, and kickball! Parents are welcome to join their children for this event at the applicable time listed below; however, it is not required that parents attend. Volunteers need to sign in at the office and get a pass prior to coming back to the field. Students need to wear hats and sunscreen and bring a water bottle.

K-1 from 8:30 -9:30

2-3 from 9:30-10:30

4-5 from 12:45-1:45

6th from 1:45-2:45 

 

 

 

END OF YEAR AWARDS CEREMONY:

Awards ceremonies will be held in the gym on Friday, May 23rd during the following times:

9th -11th from 8:30-9:05 

K-3rd from 9:15-9:44

4th-6th from 9:55-10:25

7th and 8th from 12:50 -1:20

You will be notified in advance if your child is receiving an award during these assemblies

KEEPING INFORMED:

Please check visioncharterschool.net to see the 2014-2015 calendar. The first day of school is August 25th.  Check the website for information throughout the summer regarding the upcoming school year including the school supply lists, Meet the Teacher information, and other pertinent information. Stay connected to VCS throughout the summer by "liking" us on Facebook. 


Snack Shack:  Snack shack will be open on Wednesday, Thursday and POSSIBLY Friday (depending on inventory).

 

7th-12th grade Course Schedules:

Middle School and High School student schedules for the 2014-15 school year will be distributed on the last day of school, May 24. They will also be available to view online through the Infinite Campus parent portal. If you need your username and password to use the parent portal please contact Amy Bowers in the elementary office at amybowers@visioncsd.org.

 

Students who wish to request a change in their schedule may do so by filling out an add/drop form and submitting it to the secondary office by Tuesday Aug 19, 2014. Revised schedules will be available at Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, Aug 21, 2014. Requests will be accommodated as course schedule and class size allow.

 

Add/Drop forms will be available in the secondary office or on visioncharter.net/counselor. Teacher Signatures will not be required before Aug 21, 2014.

 

Students who wish to change schedules after classes begin on Aug 25, 2014 will have five days to change schedules and will be distributed to students after a change is made. Teachers' signatures will be required after Aug 21, 2014. Any questions please contact the counselor at candiceradmall@visioncsd.org.

 

Report Cards:  K-5th grade report cards will be sent home on the last day of school. 6th-12th grade report cards will be mailed to your home address by June 6, 2014. Please send any updates to your address to debrabrockert@visioncsd.org

7th -11th LAST DAY OF SCHOOL:

Lots of fun things will be happening on the last day of school for middle and high school students. One of the many activity options for middle school students will include the option of watching fifty minutes of the movie Frozen which is rated PG. If you prefer your child not participate in this option, please send an email to Mrs. OldenKamp at wendyroldenkamp@msn.com.

 

High School students will have a full day of fun including many outdoor activities. Additionally, students will be able to watch a movie with their classmates the last hour and a half of the day.  Options include Willow, Nacho Libre, or Rocket Man which are rated PG. If you prefer your child does not participate in watching any of these movies, please email Mrs. OldenKamp at wendyroldenkamp@msn.com.

 

All 7th -12th grade students should dress appropriately for outdoor activities including bringing a water bottle, hat, and sunscreen. Ninth - eleventh grade students are encouraged to wear tennis shoes.

Carpool Requests:

Do you have any after school activities for late pick-ups?

The days I need are going to be Mondays and Tuesdays for pickup and  I can take most days and pickup Wednesdays - Fridays.
