COME SEE THE MUSICAL THIS WEEKEND!

Musical Theatre is proud to present "Don't Stop Believin'!"  The Ethel Lampert Community Center is in danger of being turned into a parking lot.  Will the teens who use the center be able to save it?  Come to this fun performance including music and dance to find out!  There are three opportunities to see the performance: Friday, Dec. 6th at 7:00p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7th at 2:00p.m. and again at 7:00p.m.  Tickets are $2 per person, with a maximum of $10 per family.  Treats will be sold at intermission.  We look forward to seeing you at the Vision Charter School gymnasium.

VCS and the PFA Thank you for your Support!

The PFA Schwan's Fundraiser

The Primary grades are competing against the Secondary grades.  The winner receives a Free Movie Night with pizza and popcorn at the school.

Schwan's has changed the way they are doing fundraisers.  No more dates and places to pick up the products.  Schwan's will deliver to all who order in any state (except Hawaii and Alaska).  So asking family out of state is no longer an issue. We will get 20% of all sales and 5% off future sales for 345 days after our 30 day campaign.

For example:  Grandma in Georgia buys $300 worth of food now and every month for the year.  It is delivered directly to her from Schwan's in Georgia.  The PFA gets $60 for the campaign and then $15 a month for the rest of the year.  Grandma gets her food and Vision PFA gets a quarterly check from Schwan's.

They also have ECertificates for Schwan's food you can purchase for $25. Give it as a gift or keep it for yourself, the school makes 40% either way! (That is $10 each)!!!!  Unfortunately, only one "ECert" per person.

IDLA  All students who are taking an IDLA class next semester will be required to turn in an enrollment form and check for $75 to the counselor before Jan 17, 2014. Schedules and enrollment forms can be found in the library next to the counselor's office.

If students are currently enrolled in IDLA this semester they are still required to enroll for the Spring semester and are still required to fill out an enrollment form and are still required to turn in $75 for the semester.

**Checks must be made out to Vision Charter School with the IDLA class name in the memo line.**

Students enrolled in IDLA Fall semester and who do not wish to take IDLA in the spring will be required to turn in an Add/Drop to the counselor. Those are also due Jan 17, 2014.

SCHOOL CLOSURES/ SNOW DAYS:

IN THE EVENT OF SCHOOL CLOSURE OR EMERGENCY CLOSURE: The most accurate updated information can be found on our Facebook page and our website at visioncharterschool.net.  We will also send out updates via this newsletter. If you would like to receive our newsletters, you may sign up on our website.

You may also check updates on KTVB channel 7, KBOI channel 2, KIVI/KSAW channel 6 and 9.

We are aware that many families are traveling a long distance daily to get to VCS.  In the event of snow and ice, we prefer that you and your family come late to school and be safe rather than rush to avoid a tardy and potentially encounter dangerous traffic situations. Therefore, we will not count your child absent as long as they are at school NO LATER than 10 a.m. daily during harsh weather conditions. Please notify the attendance clerk when signing in that the tardy was due to road conditions.  Tardies will always be excused during bad weather days. This grace period only applies on bad weather days.  Your safety is our first priority!  (Your child will still be responsible to make up missed work from any class per the attendance policy.)
