Monday, October 28th starting at 6:00 p.m. is the next Vision Charter School Skate Night/Costume Party with all proceeds going to the Moretti Family in their fight against cancer. The cost is $5 without Skate Rental or $7 if you need skates/inlines.  Halloween Costumes will be allowed as well. Please contact Teresa Wilkins at
treswilkins@aol.com if you have additional questions.

BOOK CELEBRATION:  Thursday, October 31st Whole School Book Celebration! K-5th grade and 9th -12th grade are celebrating the book Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie.  6th-8th grade students will be celebrating the book Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson.  Costumes may be worn on Thursday, October 31st based on any character from the book assigned to your child's grade level. Students may not bring weapons of any kind, even as a part of a costume. Skeletons will be allowed in connection with the pirate theme from both books; however, costumes may not be violent or include blood. Parents may work with homeroom teachers and advisory teachers to bring treats that align with the book theme. Parents must sign in at the office prior to going to the classroom. Please direct all questions to your child's classroom teacher.

"FIGHT LIKE A CHAMPION" Fundraisers for Anthony Moretti-

The "Staff versus Seniors" basketball tournament will be held on the evening of November 1st from 6-8 p.m at the Middleton Middle School gymnasium.  Dinner will be sold and a silent auction held to raise money for the medical expenses associated with Anthony Moretti's fight against cancer and brain tumors. Any families wanting to help with the dinner or silent auction may contact Teresa Wilkins at teresawilkins@visioncsd.org .  All financial donations may be made out to Cindy Moretti and brought to the Vision Charter School office in building A.

VCS Drama Troupe is proud to present our fall performance of
"The Trials of Robin Hood."

Now that we can perform in our very own facility we will be offering three shows:

Friday, November 8th at 7:00 pm is our Family Show with Family Tickets offered for $10 and Individual Tickets for $5.

Saturday, November 9th at 2:00 pm is our Kids' Show with Child Admission free with a paying Adult.  We'll have cotton candy and popcorn for this show!

Saturday, November 9th at 7:00 pm is our Dessert Theatre with more of a dinner theatre flair.  Tickets are $10/person and include dessert and beverage.

The PFA Schwan's Fundraiser for our new STAGE CURTAINS will begin this week.       The Primary grades vs. the Secondary grades.  Winner receives a Free Movie Night with pizza and popcorn. Schwan's has changed the way they are doing fundraisers.  No more dates and places to pick up.  Schwan's will deliver to all who order in any state (except Hawaii and Alaska).  So asking family out of state is no longer an issue. We will get 20% of all sales and 5% off future sales for 345 days after our 30 day campaign.

For example:  Grandma in Georgia buys $300 worth of food now and every month for the year.  It is delivered directly to her from Schwan's in Georgia.  The PFA gets $60 for the campaign and then $15 a month for the rest of the year.  Grandma gets her food and Vision PFA gets a quarterly check from Schwan's.

They also have ECerts for Schwan's food you can purchase for $25. Give it as a gift or keep it for yourself, the school makes 40% either way! (That is $10 each)!!!!  Unfortunately, only one ECert per person.

The kids will be bringing home the information.  WATCH FOR IT!!!  Post it on Facebook, email it to your loved ones, friends, and co-workers!

SNACK SHACK DATES:

Every Friday school is in session! Snack prices start at .25 for popcorn.

EVERY DAY COUNTS CAMPAIGN!

This could be one of the BIGGEST fund raisers that Vision Charter School will ever have! All we have to do is increase the whole school attendance from 96% to 97% between Thursday, September 19, 2013 and Friday, November 1, 2013.

Important Fact: Attendance from the first day of school through the first Friday in November drives 85% of all funding for Vision Charter School.

·  All students attending school every single day from 9/19/2013 - 11/1/2013 will be entered twice into a drawing for an IPAD MINI and a chance to win one of four $25 gift cards.

·  Every student who attends every day but one from 9/19/2013-11/1/2013 will be entered once for a drawing for an IPAD MINI and a chance to win one of four $25 gift cards.

·  Every student who misses one day or less during this period will also receive a "FREE JEANS DAY PASS".

·  Every student who misses two days or less during this time frame will receive a "FREE POPCORN PASS" to the SNACK SHACK.

**K-5th grade students will have one IPAD MINI drawn for Elementary and two $25 gift cards.

**6th-12th will have one IPAD MINI drawn for SECONDARY and two $25 gift cards.

A Full day of attendance requires a student to receive a minimum of 4 ½ hours of instruction. (Not including passing periods or lunch recess time)  If you have to schedule a doctor's appointment, make it for after 1:30 to ensure that they still get counted for attending a full day.
