FREE FAMILY PUMPKIN CARVING NIGHT:  4-7 p.m. Friday, October 25th in the VCS gym. Bring your own pumpkin and the stuff to carve it and gut it! We will provide the garbage bags and Clorox wipes to clean up your table afterwards.  Just come hang out with other families carving pumpkins. Children must be supervised by an adult. This will be a great way to get to know other VCS families AND keep the pumpkin carving mess out of your house! We look forward to seeing you at this drop in event.

**All carving tools must be under the direct supervision of an adult at all times.

Don't worry about dinner!  We have got you covered! VCS Student Leadership will be serving pizza (pepperoni or cheese) for $1 per slice.  They will also be serving your choice of hot chocolate, coffee, or apple cider for $1.

If you want some new pumpkin carving/decorating ideas, Mr. Boothby and students will have "how-to" sessions throughout the evening.  If you want to be adventurous and trendy, bring a small, sharp paring knife, a cordless drill, or a pumpkin carving kit, and our folks will help you go home with a cool, trendy pumpkin design.  We will have a station to help you print out some cool carving patterns and stencils, as well.

Want to gut, carve, and run???  Leave a tip donation on your table and our student leaders will clean up your mess for you.

All funds raised for VCS Student Leadership will help send students to represent our school at the Idaho Association of Student Councils annual state conference in spring 2014.

SNACK SHACK DATES:

Every Friday school is in session! Snack prices start at .25 for popcorn.

EVERY DAY COUNTS CAMPAIGN!

This could be one of the BIGGEST fund raisers that Vision Charter School will ever have! All we have to do is increase the whole school attendance from 96% to 97% between Thursday, September 19, 2013 and Friday, November 1, 2013.

Important Fact: Attendance from the first day of school through the first Friday in November drives 85% of all funding for Vision Charter School.

·  All students attending school every single day from 9/19/2013 - 11/1/2013 will be entered twice into a drawing for an IPAD MINI and a chance to win one of four $25 gift cards.

·  Every student who attends every day but one from 9/19/2013-11/1/2013 will be entered once for a drawing for an IPAD MINI and a chance to win one of four $25 gift cards.

·  Every student who misses one day or less during this period will also receive a "FREE JEANS DAY PASS".

·  Every student who misses two days or less during this time frame will receive a "FREE POPCORN PASS" to the SNACK SHACK.

**K-5th grade students will have one IPAD MINI drawn for Elementary and two $25 gift cards.

**6th-12th will have one IPAD MINI drawn for SECONDARY and two $25 gift cards.

A Full day of attendance requires a student to receive a minimum of 4 ½ hours of instruction. (Not including passing periods or lunch recess time)  If you have to schedule a doctor's appointment, make it for after 1:30 to ensure that they still get counted for attending a full day.
