School Closure Procedures:

IN THE EVENT OF SCHOOL CLOSURE OR EMERGENCY CLOSURE: The most accurate updated information can be found on our Facebook page and our website at visioncharterschool.net.  We will send out news via this newsletter. If you would like to receive our newsletters, you may sign up on our website. You may also check updates on Channel 2, 12, 6, and 7.

We are aware that many families are traveling a long distance daily to get to VCS.  In the event of snow and ice, we prefer that you and your family come late to school and be safe than rush to avoid a tardy and potentially encounter dangerous traffic situations. Therefore, we will not count your child absent as long as they are at school NO LATER than 11 a.m. daily. Tardies will always be excused during bad weather days. Your safety is our first priority!  (Your child will still be responsible to make up missed work in a timely manner.)

Boise Philharmonic Concert:
The Boise Philharmonic has rescheduled our students to attend the January 15th concert at 11:00a.m. The schedule will be exactly the same as we would have followed on the previous Thursday. Students will load the buses between 10:00 and 10:15 and leave for the concert at 10:15. Chaperons need to be able to follow in their cars. The concert lasts about 50 minutes. Students should return by 12:30 and will eat lunch at that time. Students are permitted to dress up for the concert; they may wear school uniform or better. Absolutely no jeans or T-shirts will be allowed. The concert this year is on sound and how it is produced and received by our ears.

This four-week course provides an overview of the SAT, teaches test taking strategies specific to the SAT, and offers practice SAT tests.
