FREE Musical "Mirror Image" shows Monday, November 19th at
7 p.m. at Nampa Civic Center

What happens when the line between fairy tales and reality gets crossed? Does an incidental character without a name really have any importance in the stories we know and love? Is belief in something better a fairy tale? These are the questions in the VCS musical theatre's class production of "Mirror Image." Come join us for an evening of fun, laughs, singing, and dancing as the students answer these and many other questions. The production begins at 7:00p.m. at the Nampa Civic Center and is free. A basket accepting donations will be available in the lobby for any wanting to help the class prepare for their spring musical, which will be announced Monday night. We look forward to seeing you there!

ROBOTICS EARLY THANKSGIVING BAKE SALE:

November 19th and 20th the HS Robotics Club will be having a BAKE SALE during middle and high school lunch recesses only! $$ raised will go towards helping the kids pay for expenses associated with competition. The goodies are Thanksgiving themed -- Pumpkin-Swirl Brownies, Pumpkin Dream Cake, Pumpkin Pie and Cream Cheese pastries, just to name a few.  Goodies will mostly be between .50 and $1.00 (I know you are all rushing to check in-between the sofa cushions now....).  Happy Early Thanksgiving! 

CWI TOUR

Juniors and Seniors at Vision Charter are invited to join us at CWI's Nampa Campus Micron Center for Professional Technical Education (5725 E. Franklin Rd Nampa, ID 83687) on Wednesday Nov. 28, 2012 at 2:30pm (promptly after early release). We have scheduled to meet with a representative of College of Western Idaho and take a tour of their new Micron Center. Students will be able to ask questions and get information regarding college preparation. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the center.

Middle School Robotics Team:

All Middle School Robotics meetings are cancelled until after Christmas Break. They will resume in January. 

ROLLER DROME VCS SKATE NIGHT ON DECEMBER 4th:

We had so much fun at the last skate night that 6th grade has scheduled another VCS SKATE NIGHT!! Mark your calendars and bring your family, friends, and neighbors to the Nampa Roller Drome on Tuesday, December 4th from 6 p.m. to 8p.m. The cost is $5 (extra $2 if you need to rent skates or roller blades.) Vision Charter School earns money back from each skater. What a fun way to earn money for VCS and support the all night 6th grade graduation party!

HOLIDAY & CRAFT BAZAAR:

Attention crafters, artisans and independent consultants: Vision Charter School Robotics Club will host the Second Annual VCS Craft Bazaar.  Reserve your table now! Tables are $20 each. Please contact Sammy at sammy.samuelson@visioncsd.org or call her at 455-9220 with specific questions. We will honor exclusivity for corporate vendors on a "first come, first reserved" basis. Your table must be reserved by November 27, 2012 to participate. Babysitting will be available for a fee. The Bazaar will be advertised in local papers, in-house, and on the web!  Only few spaces left!

EARLY RELEASE CONTINUES ON WEDNESDAYS! K-12th grade students will be released every Wednesday one hour earlier than usual. Release time is 2:10 every Wednesday.

Friday, December 14th  - A PINK Christmas Benefit Concert starts at 5 p.m. at Valley Church in Caldwell.  The entrance fee is $10 a family or $2 a person. All funds will go to benefit Mr. George's wife's fight against cancer.

Tuesday, December 18 - All secondary school Christmas program at 7:00 p.m. at the Civic Center (6-12)

December 20th -January 4th NO SCHOOL, Winter Break
