Ok, I admit that's a bit dramatic but...
Friends who have known me for long know that the late, great, Dr. Walter Martin was a like a mentor to me. Though the original "Bible Answer Man" and prolific author of books such as The Kingdom of the Cults has been in Glory since 1989, his ministry to me and many others still lives on. I am blessed that Dr. Martin's oldest daughter, Jill, and I are not only friends but also now regular co-hosts together on "Understanding the Times Radio with Jan Markell." I've recounted to Jill that I would not be in the ministry I am in today had it not been for Dr. Martin's daily radio ministry and the many resources - that I still refer to often. Today, over 30 years later, his memory lives on and continues to inspire and educate me. Praise the Lord!
Today I opened a box and found 14 absolute jewels - Walter Martin VHS ministry videos! They were sealed copies, each in a case, and had been donated to us by our friend, Ed Decker from Saints Alive in Jesus.
I have twelve VHS copies of Dr. Martin's classic debate with Mormon apologist, Van Hale, including both parts 1 and 2. I also have two VHS copies of the apologetics classic on witnessing to Mormons, "Dialog at the Doorstep" featuring Dr. Martin and our friend, Ed Decker, who is perhaps best known for his book The God Makers. These VHS tapes are a must for every apologetics library and are just as relevant and important as they were when they were recorded back in the 1980's.
