This Sunday, January 6th, Eric makes his yearly visit to Atonement Free Lutheran Church in Smokey Point. Come for either the 8:30 or 11am services to hear a special message by Eric. URGENT PRAYER REQUEST
| |  Our sister-in-law, Anna Reed is currently in Intensive Care at the University of Washington hospital in Seattle. It is not good. Please pray for her and for wisdom for the doctors.
Anna is only 37 years old, but for several months she has experienced a growing debilitating disease that resembles Rheumatoid Arthritis, which was the original diagnosis. However, the UW doctors have ruled this out and have concluded that she may have a very rare disease that is attacking her lungs, skin, and now her heart. Frankly, it appears to me that the doctors - even the best in this region of the country - remain stumped. Early today she went into cardiac arrest but was brought back from the brink and stabilized.
Would you please stop and take a moment and join us in prayer for Anna and her husband (Melanie's brother) Dana and for their little girl Sonia? We are praying and believing for God to be glorified, that He heal Anna, and use this awful experience to touch this family and draw them to Himself.
Adding to our family's stress, my father-in-law, Dale, has been in the hospital all week with congestive heart failure. (He is home but very confused and weak.) Since Melanie is Dale's primary caretaker, this has been a very trying and tiring week. Yet it is in the strength of God that we trust.
The promise of Isaiah 40:31 is ringing in my mind as I write.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
It is Him that we trust, He is our source of refuge and strength. He alone holds all of our days.
Thanks for standing with our family and this ministry. You are loved and appreciated.
