Sherman & Company, a leading investment banking firm and financial advisor to the insurance industry, announced several positive developments that position the company for significant future growth.

Sherman & Company is pleased to announce that Pamela Carico and Ronald Fry have been welcomed as equity partners in the firm.  Ms. Carico, currently managing director and CFO, joined Sherman & Company in February 2007 and is responsible for the firm's operations, risk management, compliance, and financial reporting.   Prior to joining Sherman & Company, Ms. Carico was the director of risk management for Springs Global Inc. where she managed the company's risk and insurance programs including a multi-billion dollar property program. Her previous experience at Springs also includes treasury management, operational financial management, and SEC reporting.   Mr. Fry, senior vice president, concentrates on the firm's business development and execution efforts with insurance companies, MGAs, and TPAs.  He joined Sherman & Company in January 2010 after eleven years at Wachovia Securities, LLC and its predecessor First Union Securities in various roles of increasing responsibilities focused on providing banking services to the insurance industry, where he last held the title of vice president.

Laughton Sherman, managing director and CEO, said, "I am extremely pleased that Pam and Ron have elected to become equity partners.  Their commitment to furthering the interests of our clients and our firm contributes to the foundation for success at Sherman & Company."

Sherman & Company is also pleased to announce the promotion of Sam L. Kramer to senior vice president.  Mr. Kramer joined Sherman & Company in 2013 as a vice president after working for Newman Lowther & Associates, a boutique M&A advisor based in South Africa where his primary focus was on providing cross-border M&A advisory services, as well as marketing fixed income derivatives to financial institutions.  He had previously worked in New York for Centre Re, a subsidiary of Zurich Insurance Group, and Arthur Andersen.  "Sam has the insurance company skill set and client-first focus that has undoubtedly made him a strong contributor for both our clients and Sherman & Company," said Laughton Sherman.

As Sherman & Company celebrates the tenth anniversary of the firm's formation, Laughton Sherman, managing director and CEO, explained, "We are well positioned for the future with an outstanding reputation, great team of talented individuals, and a solid pipeline.  Since 2010, we have served as financial advisor on 23 transactions including seven transactions completed since the beginning of January 2013 and two in 2014."
