PTSA Update
I hope everyone was able to attend our first ever Volunteer Fair. Over 25 non-profit organizations attended in order for our students to make educated decisions when signing up for volunteer hours. This is one of the many programs that PTSA sponsors throughout the year to benefit our students.
Our community outreach committee provided dinner for the staff at Metropolitan Ministries and volunteered at their Fall Festival.
If you haven't already joined or donated, please go to our website today and become a member. With your help we can continue to offer programs for students as well as support our teachers all year long.

Panther Preview Panther Preview will be on December 8th from 4 to 6 pm. This is an informational program for incoming 9th grade students only. Please register on the Plant website no later than November 19th. Print your admission ticket and bring it with you on December 8th. |
Counselors in the Classroom Counselors have visited senior classes to review a college and graduation checklist and share information about Bright Futures Scholarships. Please review college application deadlines with seniors and have them request recommendations at least 2 weeks in advance.
This week, counselors visited all 9th grade classes to conduct a High School 101 seminar. Students learned about the high school GPA, credits, Bright Futures, and graduation requirements. The counselors fielded questions on these topics and encouraged the students to take advantage of the guidance information posted on Plant's website. Students also received a school district brochure which includes a chart outlining all of the graduation requirements. Please review this information with your children.

In conjunction with our induction, we are collecting items for needy infants and children in Colombia. Details about the items needed will be mailed soon with the formal invitation to the ceremony. |
