It's the Weekly What? for Friday, February 15th
Okay, on to St. Patrick's Day!
After all the mooshyness of yesterday, we're ready for a wee bit o' the green. Yeahhhh...not really. Green eggs, green beer, green...whatever. All that artificially green food can't be good for you, can it? So... what's next? Ah! Easter! More candy. Good thing we love Reese's Peanut Butter cups in their various holiday incarnations. (Please feel free to email us a bag or two.) Anyway, we'll stop fretting about candy and food coloring and leave you to this week's edition of the What? One last thing: before you send this message to the trash, make sure to stop by our Facebook page and answer this week's question! "What was your favorite TV show when you were a kid?"
Scientifically proven ways to boost creativity
We love this. We'll skip the teaser and jump straight to the spoiler: watching more "Parks & Rec" re-runs on TV and goofing off are definite creativity boosters. So the next time the boss tries to hassle you because your feet are up on the desk, you can just say that you're actually quite busy on a mental level. Don't bother us... we're thinking. >>
Rules were made to be broken
We have rules for a reason: to guide us when we don't know any better. But once we've attained a certain level of knowledge and skill, we can carefully break the rules to great effect! Here's a great article from CreativePro.com about some typographic rules and how they can be (and are) broken to lend some extra typographic punch. Rule number 6! Aiiiee! >>

Video marketing tactics
The great thing about YouTube is that you can put it to use in pretty short order. You don't need to worry so much about Hollywood-level production values or fancy editing (or any> editing!). The key thing is that you just need to stay relevant and pithy. Here's fantastic read that will have you churning out some seriously good video content in no time! Lights, camera, action! >>
Steampunk-robo-pancake-o-tron!
Actually it's called The "Happy Eggs Pancake-omatic" and it's more fun to watch than the actual robotic pancake makers that we've posted about in the past. Clean up is not something we'd look forward to! >>
A solution to our excess of Rubik's Cubes and old, junky keyboards
You know how it is: As soon as you buy a computer it's outdated before you even get home. The other stuff you can turn into fish tanks, etc. but what do you do with the keyboards? Same thing for Rubik's Cubes. The shameless excesses of the '80's have left us with mountains of unused Rubik's Cubes dwarfed only by old AOL discs. Here's a fantastic solution to both problems. (Sorry, we've got nothing for the AOL disc... maybe launch them into space??) It's a QWERTY Rubik's Cube! It'll look cooler but be just as frustrating. >>
The Weekly What? is more fun when you share! It's easy, just click the "Forward email" link below... keep going... a little farther down... there it is! Send this newsletter to a friend! Don't worry, we won't hit them up for money.
