Hi All, Welcome back from Spring Break!
Today, our teachers and staff are working together through professional development training sessions. Themes throughout the day have included assessment, inclusion, and academic honesty in preparation for our International Baccalaureate re-authorization process.
 We also spent the morning waving goodbye to the Riverstone Juniors as they departed for their Northwest College Tour with Gretchen Arguedas and Robyn Olnes.
The goal of this trip is to expose the students to a variety of institutions and geographic possibilities while they start to picture themselves in their lives after Riverstone.
 Our Seniors also left yesterday for their last Riverstone outdoor trip. They will be rock climbing and adventuring in City of Rocks National Reserve until Thursday with Outdoor Education Director, Ben Brock.
These milestones for students in their senior year are always exciting but tough for our staff and I to see fly by.
We also wanted to send along a few reminders for our upcoming Parents' Association meeting and Meet the Seniors event - please find them below.

MEET THE SENIORS - NEXT TUESDAY!
|
 All parents are encouraged to join us to Meet the Seniors next Tuesday, Apr 12 from 8:45 AM - 10:15 AM in the Kennedy Gymnasium!
This is your chance to hear directly from the seniors. What did they feel they gained by attending Riverstone? Where are they going to college (or still considering)? What was their most memorable experience at our school? Why is Riverstone unlike other schools? These students and their personal stories will re-affirm for you why you have chosen Riverstone!
This event is kindly hosted by the Parents' Association.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES APPLICATIONS DUE FRIDAY

 We are interested in hearing from you if you believe you are an appropriate candidate or know of someone else who might be, regardless of whether they are presently a member of the Riverstone community. The Board welcomes suggestions from the Riverstone community for individuals who might make a positive contribution to the Board for a term commencing in May 2016.
Applicants should submit a brief summary of their qualifications (preferably no more than a page in length) by Friday, Apr 8, 2016 to the attention of Board Nominations at the Elementary School front desk. The Board will then reach out for further discussions with applicants who it believes are an appropriate fit the Board at this time.
