Riverstone International School
August 20, 2015

Hi All,
I write this as I am about to head out for one of my favorite events - an alumni gathering. While our summer gathering tends to have a smaller turnout than our Holiday Party, great young adults will be assembled with great stories and conversations. Our alumni have literally traveled around the world, finished graduate schools, done global and local service, started companies, and embraced the tech field. It is amazing to note that although we only about 200 graduates, but their stories and experiences are world class.
As many of you know, these graduates have all completed the rigorous International Baccalaureate Diploma Exams that take place during the month of May of their senior year. Next week, I would like to discuss the results on those exams in both a recent and historical context.
I will also update you on some of the great conversations I'll have this afternoon.
Call for anything,
Bob Carignan Head of School bcarignan@riverstoneschool.org

ALL SCHOOL CONVOCATION & BOO HOO YAHOO COFFEE
|
All parents are invited to join us for our 4th Annual Riverstone All-School Convocation.
Our All-School Convocation will be held on Monday, Aug 31 at 9:00 AM in the Kennedy Gymnasium.
We start the school year celebrating what we know to be one of Riverstone's unique qualities and one of our Five Pillars, our strong sense of community. Convocation is always fun -- and will last approximately 30-45 minutes. Let's pack the gym with students, staff, and parents!
Parents' Association Boo Hoo Yahoo immediately following Convocation Sad to see your little ones head to class for the first time OR are you ready to shout "Yahoo" towards the sky? No matter your preference -- we will have the tissues and high-fives ready!
Plan to take a few moments immediately following the Convocation to stop by the Parents' Association tables in the Gym Foyer. Chairpersons for PA activities will be available to talk with you about what PA programs are taking place this year and how they can help match your skill set and interests to some of the important needs for our school. Being involved is good for you, your child, and the school. We're looking forward to meeting you! Contact Natalie Geffros, PA President, with questions.

PHOTO FAMILY DIRECTORY - SEND PHOTOS
|
The Parents' Association would like to create our 2nd Riverstone Photo Directory to compliment the school's student directory and help everyone get to know one another. In addition to names and contact information, we hope to have a photo of every family in the school!
To have your family's photo included, please send an email to Riverstonepa@riverstoneschool.org with the following:
- A family photo (1MB digital file)
- If your child lives in two households, please feel free to send two photos
We are excited about our second year of offering this and we look forward to seeing all of the beautiful (or entertaining) pictures of you and your families! If you have any questions, please contact Treacy Liebich.
