Greetings!
Did you know that there are more than 370,000 houses of worship in the United States? If they would cut energy use by 20% collectively they
- would save nearly $630 million per year;
- would cut electricity use by more than 3.6 billion kilowatt hours; and
- would prevent more than 2.6 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions.
That's why Ohio Interfaith Power and Light is launching its ENERGY STEWARDS and ENERGY AUDITS programs--we want to help Ohio's worship facilities save energy and cut their greenhouse gas emissions. I am excited about the opportunity to work with OhIPL as we reach out to congregations and offer a helpful on-line tool (ENERGY STEWARDS) that will track energy use in your facility. We will also provide different levels of ENERGY AUDITS to identify areas of concern and opportunity.
Won't you join in our effort to reduce energy use by 20% among Ohio's houses of worship? Check out our webpage or join us for a Free Webinar providing an overview of ENERGY STEWARDS on Wednesday October 24 at 10am or Tuesday November 13 at 7pm.
If you have questions, give me a call at (614) 940-6274 or email me at cfoster@fosterenergymanagement.com.
Sincerely,

Celebrate World Food Day and National Coffee Day with our Cool Harvest Resources
|
People of the Jewish faith celebrate the joyous harvest holiday of Sukkot this week, and both World Food Day (October 16) and National Food Day (October 24) happen in autumn. It's an ideal season to enjoy a Cool Harvest with your congregation - and we have everything you need to plan a fun potluck-and-a-movie event and make the food-faith-climate connection.
Click here for more information about Cool Harvest.
International Coffee Day was September 29. Did you know that Premium Coffee has been identified as one of the crops that are greatly endangered by climatic changes? You can find out more about the impact climate change has on global coffee production by clicking here.
