Finding Real Happiness in the Workplace through Meditation with Sharon Salzberg

Most people see work as a necessary responsibility, but not a place to find happiness or joy. Many equate success with hard work and even suffering in order to get ahead. On January 20th, Host Kate Ebner will be joined by one of the world's leading meditation teachers, Sharon Salzberg, to discuss how meditation can help anyone be happier at work.
Tune in for practical strategies from Sharon's new book Real Happiness at Work: Meditations for Accomplishment, Achievement and Peace to help you attain the eight pillars of workplace happiness. Learn how a focus on the present moment will actually lead to a greater pay-off than constantly thinking about when the report is finished or finally getting that promotion. If you have a job of any kind, don't miss this chance to learn from world-renowned Buddhist meditation teacher, author and speaker Sharon Salzberg.

Former GSA Administrator Martha Johnson on her Leadership Philosophy and Lessons Learned
Martha Johnson's tenure as Administrator of the General Services Administration ended abruptly when she was compelled to resign over a scandal in which she played no direct part. However, as the leader, Martha accepted responsibility and resigned in an effort to help restore the American public's trust in the agency. Since 2012, Martha has published two books, a novel and a highly readable account of her time at the GSA, the tumultuous months surrounding her resignation, and the lessons she learned as she put her life back together again. Martha appeared on the January 13 episode of Visionary Leader, Extraordinary Life to discuss her book, On My Watch: Leadership, Innovation and Personal Resilience, and what she's learned from a journey that hasn't always been smooth sailing.
