SBA DISASTER FUNDS
Illinois was hit by severe storms and tornadoes in November and a state of disaster was declared to cover several Illinois counties which are eligible for both Physical and Economic Injury Disaster Loans from the SBA. Applicants may click here to apply online. Physical property damage applications are due January 27, 2014 and economic injury applications are due August 26, 2014.
PROPOSED RULE FOR COMMENT TO AFFECT CHILD CARE PROVIDERS
The Department of Human Services proposed amendments which will impact child care providers. This rule is currently open for public comment. To learn more or to submit your comments on the rule, please click here.

LESSONS LEARNED: FROM HERE TO BANGLADESH
 In October, the WBDC hosted Duke Ivn Amin, U.S. Department of State Professional Congress Fellow to exchange ideas and experience in business on an international scale. Duke is the Fundraiser and Communications Officer for Jago Nari, a women's rights organization aimed at bringing economic empowerment to Bangladeshi women and their communities.
