For those of you who are receiving About Women's Business (AWB) for the first time and for our loyal readers, we - Hedy Ratner and Carol Dougal - co-founders and co-presidents of the Women's Business Development Center (WBDC) thank you for your interest and support.
After three decades creating, implementing and nurturing the WBDC, we have transitioned from management and changed roles. We pass the torch of leadership of the WBDC to Emilia DiMenco, as President and CEO of the Women's Business Development Center.
Carol and Hedy will remain on the Board of Directors. Hedy, as consultant to the WBDC, will concentrate on her passion and advocacy for women's economic empowerment issues and on affirmative action for women and minority owned businesses as well as helping to expand WBDC's regional presence and leadership.
We and the WBDC are linked inexorably and Emilia DiMenco and our dedicated and committed Board or Directors will help the WBDC continue to thrive and grow with your help!
As you read through this Special Edition of AWB know that the WBDC will continue to provide relevant and responsive programming to meet the needs of women and minority business owners through the country.
Hedy and Carol
Co-Founders and Co-Presidents Emeritus, WBDC
