WBDC NAMED CORE MEMBER OF CHICAGO MICROLENDING INSTITUTE
The WBDC is now certified to begin direct lending up to $25,000 to start-up and existing businesses within the City of Chicago. INFORMATION ON WOSB/EDWOSB VERIFICATION
The System for Award Management (SAM) has been facing several difficulties, the most recent of which is causing increasing confusion by federal agencies with respect to how they ascertain whether a company is woman-owned for the purposes of women-owned small business (WOSB) or economically disadvantaged women-owned small business (EDWOSB) procurements. REPORT YOUR ECONOMIC IMPACT
Calling all Illinois Businesses. The Women's Business Development Center (WBDC) is able to provide business counseling and training to you and thousands like you because of the generosity of funders who want to see small businesses grow. Their support of the WBDC is directly related to the impact we have on individuals like you, so gathering information on the state of your business is critical.
As 2012 comes to a close, you must submit your information so the WBDC can meet critical funder deadlines and continue to provide free business counseling and low-cost training throughout the Chicago area.

What happens if the WBDC does not report the economic impact our clients are achieving?
- The amount of funding we receive can decrease
- The amount of counseling and events we offer would then decrease
- The cost of attending workshops and events would rise
- Fewer individuals would acheive economic independence through entrepreneurship
