Meet Your Chamber Team

Exclusive Event!

A Message from our President, Lynn Ward

April 1st marked the beginning of the Chamber's new fiscal year with a refreshed look at our programming, public policy and economic development efforts and additional value-added features. As we enter the 126th year that the Waterbury Regional Chamber is in existence, we remain proud of our past and excited about our future that includes representing YOUR business!

Perhaps you joined us at the annual business meeting where we highlighted our history and elected new directors. We are pleased to welcome Frank Monteiro of MacDermid/Platform Specialty Products, Attorney Joe Kinsella of Carmody & Torrance, Attorney Tavis Tindall of Tindall Law Firm and Cynthia Walker of Frontier Communications. They join a long list of dedicated board members who represent all Chamber members in setting policy, procedures and regulations for the Chamber organization. We also acknowledged the commitment Will Pape of the Republican American made during the past two years as our Chairman of the Board. Effective April 17 incoming chairman Tim Bergstrom of Webster bank will follow Will as Chairman.

To culminate our 125th Anniversary please join us at "Chamberopoloy" at LaBella Vista on Friday, April 24 at 6 p.m. This special event, chaired by Jim and Cathy Smith, promises to be an extraordinary and interactive social event. In addition, it will serve as a fundraiser for the restoration of the clock erected by the Chamber on the Waterbury Green in 1913. After enduring the elements for more than a century it's time to provide it appropriate upkeep and refurbishment. Please register at the new www.waterburychamber.com.

We look forward to our 2015 membership campaign on Tuesday, April 28 and Wednesday, April 29th, which is detailed below. Membership growth is extremely important to our organization and the level of programming we are able to provide is enhanced by bringing new members into the fold. Your support in this effort is greatly appreciated.

Finally, for our members who have waited through a long, cold winter to hit the links, please consider the key networking opportunities available through two golf tournaments in early May. Join golf committee chairman Bill Harris of American Copy Service Center on Monday May 4, at the Country Club of Waterbury. And get out for a second round on May 11 at the Naugatuck Chamber and Naugatuck YMCA annual tournament at the Watertown Golf Club.

As always, I encourage you to contact me if I can be of assistance to you at lward@waterburychamber.com or (203) 757-0701 ext. 310. I look forward to seeing you at these and other upcoming events.

Best regards,
