February 1:1-2PM Cook Book Club A new kind of book club open to teens and adults. Join us for a potluck lunch. Contact Information Services desk at 252-442-1951 ext. 3 to register and for more information.

February 2: 5:30-7:30pm S.C.O.R.E. & Braswell Library team up to you monthly workshops for area small business owners and nonprofit organizations. Join us for a discussion on Cyber Safety. Contact Joetta Pittman at 252-442-1951 extension 239 to register to attend the workshop, or for more information.

February 4: 5:30-7:300pm Braswell Teen Movie in the Computer Lab. A teen romance for Valentine's Day. Rated PG. Parents must be with patrons under 13. Popcorn and refreshments will be served during the movie.

February 6: 4-5pm "Minecraft Basics" Ever wanted to try Minecraft? Here are the basics for all ages in the 2nd floor Computer Lab. Contact Scott Houston for all Teen programs at 442-1951 ext. 257.

February 10: 11am-12pm "Stop, Slow & Go to the Library" As part of monthly STEAM program, we learn about inventor Garrett Morgan and his invention; the traffic light. We will look at the science of a traffic light and build our own in the YS Story Room. Contact Melissa Corso for more information at 252-442-1951 ext. 235.

February 11: 5:30-7:30pm "Minecraft Design Club" Work with other teens to design and create in the world of Minecraft in the 2nd floor Computer Lab. Contact Scott Houston for more information at 252-442-1951 ext. 257.

February 13: 12-3pm "Does Valentine's Day make you emotional?" 12-1pm Crafts & 1-3pm Movie

How does Valentine's Day make you feel: angry, sad, fearful or joyful? Come explore these feelings with a special showing of Disney's Inside/Out.

February 15: 5:30-7:30pm Valentine's Day Recovery Party Need a break from all the love? Join us for unromantic books, leftover treats, and an unromantic movie full of robotic destruction in the Warner Room. Rated PG-13. Parents must be with patrons under 13.

February 17: 11pm-12:30 pm "Rocky's Sparkle Tooth Care" This month's theme is dental care. Join us for a story about going to the dentist and then stay and pretend to be a dentist to Rocky's animal friends in the YS Story Room. Contact Melissa for more information at 252-442-1951 ext. 235.

February 18: 5-6pm "Super Hero Genealogy" Join genealogy expert Monika Fleming as she traces the family trees of popular super heroes in the Warner Room. Please contact Scott for more information at 252-442-1951 ext. 257.

February 22: 10:30am-12:00pm Good Reads Book Club will meet in the Wiley Room. This month the group will discuss the book Sycamore Row by John Grisham. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Book Club, contact Kesha Joyner 252-442-1951 ext. 253

February 23: 4:30-5:30pm "Dancing Stories" April C. Turner performs dances, stories and songs that affirm community building concepts such as "working together," "integrity" and "perseverance" in a fun, inspiring journey through West African culture. February 25: 5-7:30pm Teen Game Night A variety of games (board, card, computer, etc.) will be available for play with friends or family. Teens can also sign up for Minecraft in the Computer Lab. Refreshments will be provided in the Teen Area and the Computer Lab.

February 27: 1pm - 2pm "It's Lego Time" Join us for an hour of LEGO fun and creation. This month it's LEGO math and science. Come learn how LEGOS can help with school work. Free time will be allowed for you to create on your own. YS Story Room

February 27: 2-3pm Photography Club Open to all ages interested in any type of photography. Come out and meet like-minded area residents and take the opportunity to share your craft and learn from each other. This club will meet on the 4th Saturday of each month in the Wiley Room.
